Ecotones and Echotones: Potentialities in Tensions
Through a performance lecture that blends original ambient music, personal and public domain field recordings, archival educational footage, and philosophical considerations, I create a contemplative space that cultivates discovery, realization, and reflection for mapping the interconnections between environmental tragedies, restorative practices, and persistent change.
Productions:
Denton Zine & Art Party: Annual multi-day, multi-media events showcasing artists, installations, musicians, and organizations with a focus on zine and DIY culture around North Texas.
From 2017-present: annual DZAP Zine Fests, interactive art showcases, Zine libraries, and collaborations with Spiderweb Salon, Polacon, Greater Denton Arts Council, The PETAL Project, and local artists.
KUZU 92.9 LPFM - Denton, TX: Low Power FM Freeform Community Radio station based in Denton, TX
IN FORMED Radio - weekly radio show featuring fiction, nonfiction, mindful observation, field recordings, local information, news, and educational programming.
Productions: assist the organization with management, administration, and production of various events.
KUZUthon (2016 - present): Annual membership drive and 12-hour marathon broadcasting live on FM and simulcast television broadcast online.
Revolution (2017 - present): Annual launch day celebration with multi-stage music and performance events, art markets, and entertainment showcases.
Additional community events including music and art events, live-streaming events, record show, and drive-in movie events.
